I’ve spent time among the very very poor and I’ve spent time among the very very rich. The gap that exists there should not exist. Some have so much money they honestly don’t know what to do with it, and others have so little money they honestly don’t know what to do.

We need a #WealthTax: 2% on $50M and over, plus an additional 1% on billionaires. Everyone knows it. One of the wealthiest men I’ve ever known once said to me, “My taxes are so low it’s obscene.”

They don’t know what to do with it yet they never stop trying to make more and they never do anything truly meaningful with it. Philanthropic efforts are minuscule compared to their total wealth.
