No American should have to be begging their government for enough money to feed their kids. And no political leader who has never had to skip a meal should have the audacity to say no to them.

"Do un to others as you would have them do un to you" ... Our Republican and Conservative Democratic Congressional leaders are for the most part "Christian" (or so they say) yet they can't even follow Christ's simplest and most basic rule ... why is that?

Yep. I think it's because the relationship between the people & its gov't is an authoritarian, top-down relationship, with the gov't being always at the top dictating policy. Simply put, the US is not a democracy.

How can those who are elected to serve, intentionally turn their back on the very ones they are there to serve?? It鈥檚 so baffling the lack of compassion and empathy that is showing itself at this time. We need Emotional Intelligence like never before.

That the problem you have to be rich to achieve the higher offices. The last poor president was Truman. No more humbling lesson than true hunger and they all lack humility.
