It’s outrageous the way we’re treating our teachers as though their health is expendable and their fear illegitimate. This is the legacy of a misogynistic paradigm where the needs of women and children have been deemed secondary for centuries and longer.

Don’t kids give a smaller viral load, so it’s actually better to get it off them? But in any case, let’s focus on helping teachers boost their immune systems, as schools reopen.

Their fear is legitimate. So are all essential workers who go to work every day. Our kids are being hurt right now...it's time to put their needs first.

It's mothers and teachers struggling which further demonstrates how we're not focusing on things that matter in this country. Like the high school shooter situation instead of dissecting the source of the problem, we just wanted to hand guns to teachers.

When does it matter that my daughter’s access to a decent education matter ? That asking questions on zoom makes her uncomfortable?

Asking people to do their jobs when it’s been proven time and again that their job is low risk isn’t treating them as expendable. My kids are in HS and as much as I love the slower pace and not commuting, they’re missing out. And for no reason. The science says to open schools.

My daughter has the virus and is now back teaching. She is getting the 1st vaccine this week. She did not get it at School but at the daycare she needed to use. She was forced to go to school to teach students remotely who were at home.

Sorry, my teen started hugh school last year and they close school from March to September in Spain, he lost the forest year. I am glad they didn't close it this year. All they have to do is wear a mask, keep the distance and wash their hands. Education is a right for them.
