We've lost basic organizing of labor as a force for change. Prop 22 was just the latest CA policy-by-ballot, paid for by wealthy interests masquerading as populists. Much better if Uber, Lyft and other low wage employers had to face a strong union that's 100% focused on labor.

A pillar of trickle down economics was to undermine labor.

Liberals are no better than ultra right wing. They scream to go green but line up at Walmart, Costco for cheap plastic goods shipped in from China and other ports afar. Hypocrisy lives in both parties. America has an "I want" culture and is hard pressed to look beyond our nose

We are so used to the "Gig Economy" ... where workers have no rights and get no benefits ...that we think it's actually good ... We think it gives workers flexibility ... and it does ... it gives them the flexibility to work three or four jobs in order to survive.

Dems think it's cool to be a "Gig Worker" ... they think being a Gig worker gives you flexibility ... what they don't realize is that gig working came about because people can't find good paying full time jobs with benefits ... so as a gig worker they now work Two or Three Jobs.

Many think Gig Workers are cool ... what people forget is that gig workers are a product of people not being able to find good jobs with benefits ... so as a gig worker, they work two or three jobs to feed themselves and their family ... Gig working is NOT cool ... it's survival!

The rich and affluent are moving rules to make more money? Are we all subservient? A #basicincome like proposed by @SenatorRomney can help fight back and put money back into the hands of the working class! en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plut…

Again? "American liberalism" hasn't really undergone a tectonic shift. We've seen a struggle within the Democratic Party between true, traditional American liberals and "neoliberals," erstwhile liberals who adopted conservative economic thinking circa 1980s.
