So how many people do you think are going to die because Americans wanted to watch a ball game? #SuperSpreaderBowl

Protecting the vulnerable would’ve meant canceling the game.

I don’t understand why. There are countries who dealt with Covid very differently and now are basically past it. They showed restraint and discipline while they needed to. What am I missing?

Nothing. In America many have exchanged self-righteous ignorance for taking responsibility for the well-being of the common good. Being right and angry are the values today.

25,000 people in a stadium meant to seat 65,000. Plenty of space to socially distance. Masks required upon entry. Yes, we can reasonably deal with the virus while continuing to live our lives.

Smaller countries where it was easier to manage. China doesn't count, I don't believe their bogus numbers and neither should anyone else.

The fact that in the US, even when a governor claimed to be "locking down", we never really did lock down to the extent that some nations did.
exactly the point marianne! we showed who we are w this pandemic. undisciplined😡😡😡

You're giving white Americans' the benefit of the doubt, that the majority of us are not violent, belligerent, ignorant and cruel.

Florida is ranked 30th in cases per 100k with no statewide mask mandate or mandatory lockdowns. Stop the fear mongering. if the BLM protests weren't "Super spreader events" (they weren't) then neither are these. Science doesn't change based on your political leanings.

So you want us to just lock ourselves in our homes and never go anywhere or do anything until the government says so? You do know that Ronald Reagan himself said the nine most terrifying words you can hear are "I'm from the government and I'm here to help" right?

The people who set the rules continually break them themselves, so yeah, we're done caring.
They sure "dealt" with Covid very differently. Is this what you would like to see here? And by "they" do you mean police? Yes, the police restrained and disciplined those who did not comply. There are hundreds of videos like this from different countries. youtube.com/watch?v=41QfI-3l…
