They also had every option to either cancel or postpone the super bowl so that people would not be out in droves partying. But that might had had an adverse effect as people need to go out and to their thing.

nothing is wrong with wanting to watch the game. They could have done the game safely (social distancing in the stands) and banned any events. I saw some of those crowds and it was ridiculous.

At minimum the requirement to attend the game in person should have been the same as getting on a plane: proof of a negative Covid test within 3 days. Instead, the attendees were offered a free at-home Covid test kit as they left the stadium. What a joke.
