Correction: that horrible scene of police brutality occurred in Ontario, Canada, and not in the United States. Keeping the post up to remind all of us what’s at stake in demanding a fundamental change in police culture, apparently in both countries.

There needs to be education on both sides. Most PO’s don’t treat ppl this way, we need to weed out those who do, but the general public also needs to learn how to react when approached by police & bystanders also need to learn to stay calm, their behavior adds fuel to the fire!

Yes police brutality is a big problem in Canada as well as in the US. Recruitment, training, supervision, consequences - not effective. And too much money for police not enough for community needs. Time to defund police and fund human and environmental needs. #DefundThePolice

Amazing. I live in Ontario and I have not seen any reporting related to this. Totally outrageous if it is being covered up.

The one good thing about this happening in Canada is that the 20-year-old kid won't be financially ruined for having to go to the hospital for a concussion.

The smacks at the end are excessive, other than that I see no problem.

Yeah, if it were here in the US, that would've been a black man on the ground. Sad to say.

Both Canada and United States were colonized so in that vein they are the same.
