If you feel like you needed a nap after the election, exhausted by four years of chaos and destruction, I totally understand. Now get up! Good candidates are starting to announce for 2022. We need to check them out and support the ones we believe in. #ItsJustAroundTheCorner

I’ve given up completely.

Arms sales stopped to SA so they can't kill kids in Yemen, task force formed to reunite kids w/ parents, climate change deemed top priority, DACA kids protected, Keystone pipeline stopped - and you're giving up? I know it's not everything, but it's hugely different than what was.

Because the next GOP administration is just going to knock it all down and we’ll be back at square one but a little worse and with no meaningful, lasting reforms. OK, maybe weed will be legal, but people will still be poor, in debt, and paying obscene amounts for health insurance

Was Abolition not a meaningful, lasting reform? Was women getting the right to vote not a meaningful, lasting reform? Was desegregating the American South not a meaningful, lasting reform? Change is slow and it's rarely total, but it happens when people make it happen.

Yes, those were meaningful, lasting reforms. They were also a very long time ago. I appreciate what you’re saying, but I don’t see any light at the end of this tunnel, just the same pendulum swing over and over with ever-diminishing returns. I wish you luck fighting the power.
