I think it would help the conservatives & moderates to get onboard retroactive payments in such a high amount if the proposal is made with a clawback mechanism in mind for 2022, to reduce the chance for extreme hiccups in inflation

I like your plan; with the exception that the Dem Party would manage to fuck it up. Probably by means testing it and making “essential” workers ineligible. Millions of people would feel like they worked for free; which they essentially would have. Voting against Dems in anger.

Be good if folks kept pushing The Deficit Myth so any of the crimes blocking payments could be understood and the bad guys jailed. This is a failure of all media and talking heads for not staying with #MMT messaging. Shame on anyone that deviates from that.
