A 24 hour emotional truce would be a really good idea about now. Everybody saying that today I will work on surrendering my own shortcomings and give up patrolling what I perceive to be everybody else’s for a change. One day. Just one day for a much needed de-escalation and reset

"Shortcomings" in friends and acquaintances--that's one thing. Might lead to annoyance and disputes but maybe not much more. In political leaders, CEOs, ppl w/power, "shortcomings" can result in war, climate destruction, brutality, impoverishment, etc. No "truce" on that, ever.

I suggested last Spring we should make June 9th, Flip the Lens Day, where people examined how many of criticisms they make of others could be applied to themselves. Oddly enough, it didn't gain much traction. Shocker. A little cultural-wide introspection would definitely be nice.
