Why is our government so generous with those who are rich and so stingy with those who are not?

Just look at how many politicians tout their success in business or being a business owner. Why would they give up their success in the private sector to make peanuts in the public sector? They do it for their friends at the country club.

I have over $200,000 in student loans so I could become a physical therapist? $10K is not enough
