We need a whole new era of support for unions and worker’s right. Companies like Amazon should not be legally allowed to exploit and abuse workers the way they do. vice.com/en/article/y3gk3w/a…

I work at a union steel mill and we’ve been working 12 hr swing shifts, 8-8 daylight followed by 8-8 midnight, what’s the deal?

Unions have been under assault for the last 40 years, that’s what the deal is (seen as not “pro-business.” ) Workers’ rights chipped away at little by little; it’s time to course-correct.

And we need to recognize that this effort needs to happen locally - by union organizers and workers - in states where "right-to-work" and other worker suppression needs to be overturned, and nationally where worker rights have been pared back to indentured servitude

If only SW engineers had worked, amazon would end up being nothing. Workers should be paid well and their health care should be taken care of.

Amazon needs to organize and strike. That’s the only language management understands

Sounds like business as usual. Nothing new. Dish network has 4 day weeks with 10-14 hour days and more often than not mandatory 5th and sometimes 6th day overtime shifts with a high pressure to hit metrics and make sales. Would be nice to have union protection.
