If Democrats would just come out and say "We'll make sure that those $2,000 checks are in everyone's hands, and we're not making it a lower income level for those who receive it" - then DO it! - they'd cruise to a win in 2022. There is no good economic or political reason not to.

Exactly! Bipartisanship is how we got here - it won't get us anything but more fascism at this point.

This is what I have been saying. That is literally the only thing they have to do to keep both houses in two years. The easiest thing and they already screwed that up. Republicans may do some crappy things but at least they get it done.

Only one bad reason... the ALL powerful greed

Key word is good. There is absolutely a method to the madness and it's anything but good. We have to stay this two headed dragon.

Why not pay everyone for voting for them

I don't give a fuck if a millionaire gets a $2000 check as long as I do and people like me.

Their donors must not want that.

Totally out of touch and too entrenched in their political games and calculations to do the right thing to help people in crisis. The Clinton/Obama triangulation quagmire is regenerating.

$1800 direct $ under Trump and a higher expanded weekly unemployment of $600. Dems want people to be excited over one time $1,400, not the promised $2000, and a much lower expanded unemployment amount. Mind boggling.

It truly feels like they don’t actually want to help. More campaigning on promises they never intended to keep. Sometimes I seriously wonder why I even bothered voting or sending money to help campaigns...
