Why are we talking about lowering stimulus checks for the middle class and poor, but not increasing the tax rate for billionaires?

Because billionaires shouldn’t be responsible for everything.
We actually are talking about increasing tax rates for billionaires. Not everything needs to be discussed in the same conversation. And there are plenty of people who are upper middle class & above who haven’t lost a penny this last year. Why is targeting more to them a problem?
Are they still using tax returns from 2 years ago. So somebody who lost there job last year last year and made over the threshold is still not getting checks. The biggest problem is regionality for income. Coasts someone making 50 k might barely scrape by

Because we are becoming more socialist. In a socialist country there is no middle class, only rich and poor.
Bezos should buy vaccines for us all. After all, he uses our tax based infrastructure to profit. Also, he should give all of his employees a huge bonus, regular hours, sick leave, paid vacay, free medical plans, hmm, what else?

I have an idea, lets just cancel the trillion dollars worth of trump tax cit to the richest in America and use it for stimulus checks. Good idea, no ? Then why can't democrats do that ? Explain. Thanks

So the Democrats tricked everyone into believing they help the poor again 😂
“Why are we talking about lowering stimulus checks for the middle class and poor, but not increasing the tax rate for billionaires?” Ooh-ooh, I know this one - #repuglicans
Many young Americans have no idea that when Eisenhower was president the top federal income tax rate was over 60%. And the complex systems for evading taxes that evolved in the 80s didn’t exist yet.
