I do not understand this Senator. How is it “moderate” to deny people what they need in order to survive? If a child is hungry, it is an *immoderate* position to turn your back on them.
I joined a group of 10 Republican Senators in writing to President Biden today to propose an alternative Covid-19 relief bill capable of garnering bipartisan support and to request a meeting to discuss it in detail. collins.senate.gov/newsroom/…

@SenSusanCollins #Impeachment was so easy What is so hard about writing a stand alone bill to send Wuhan Flu Relief to American families in need. It would be a clear indication of who wants to help Americans in need and who do not. @SpeakerPelosi @GOPLeader @POTUS @JoeBiden

If the GOP wants to force short ppl to work for free for 3 yrs and Dems want to cap it at 1 yr, that doesn’t make 2yrs of shorty servitude a moderate position. Media focus on the struggle btwn parties rather than the content of legislation

@SenatorCollins- NO HEART. @lisamurkowski same. I don't know much abt the others, but should. @MittRomney has ZERO integrity. He's a political KITE whose opinions blow whichever way the wind blows. Of course he'll deny that. His father is rolling over in his grave.

It’s a sign of how far right the country has drifted over last 30 years that so~called moderate Republicans can be openly contemptuous of the poor without blowback and Dems are the ones offering largely rhetorical support without feeling the need to make any strong policy push.

For corporatists like her, moderate is a synonym for “I hate poor people”.
