In a country where even before the pandemic 40% of Americans could not afford a $400 unexpected expenditure, how do our esteemed elected officials assume people are surviving?

The fact Americans have to beg the government to pay anything to help people stay fed and housed, demonstrates how broken we were before the pandemic.

They don’t even bother to think about it.... we don’t exist except to serve. We stop serving, they will notice.

It’s been very revealing the amount of poverty there is in America. I cringe when I see the commercials on T.V at Christmas asking the rest of the world to feed your hungry children! Less military and weapons so you could feed them all and more!

They just figure we are selling off one of our extra houses or Priuses or letting one of the servants go.
