A leader shouldn't lead with what they think is possible; they should lead with what they think is right. That, in time, is what makes it possible.

Goals and results are different. If you have seemingly noble goals that yield horrific results, then you should fn stop. You can't just will anything you want into fruition.

I don’t know. I think a keen measure of the realities of time and space helps with the clarity to see which way to go. And I could be wrong, living as I am within the limits of time and space.

It's better political strategy regardless. The DNC caves up front with every popular effort, and then has to compromise further to humor contrarian Republicans. It's really getting old.
