Warren's #WealthTax plan calls for 2% over $500M, 1% more for over $1 billion. No one at that level of wealth would see any difference whatsoever in their lifestyle, but millions of people would see a fundamental difference in their lives based on what we could do with the money.

Hear me out: How about instead we have the workers own the means of production and the wealth is distributed among the people that actually create the wealth. Then you don’t have to worry about wealth taxes. You can’t use a bandaid to fix a tumor. You have to cut the tumor out

We must stop interventionism., costs too much, brings a lot of misery, not good for the environment. Being suspicious of centralized government (beneficial programs) is also healthy because the folks y’all disagree with will sometimes wield the power if you establish it.

We owned a restaurant and a server sometimes would complain about bad or non tipping customers. I explained that we needed them anyway because they still helped the restaurant, pay bills, utilities etc. and in turn the restaurant provided the server with a means to make a living.

Would they see any difference in their lifestyle if it were 5% over $500M and 10% over $1billion?

Make it 50% and then I'm interested

they could even tax them at a higher rate than that so that they do see a difference in their lifestyle cuz billionaire lifestyles are inherently exploitative & wasteful
