Warren's #WealthTax plan calls for 2% over $500M, 1% more for over $1 billion. No one at that level of wealth would see any difference whatsoever in their lifestyle, but millions of people would see a fundamental difference in their lives based on what we could do with the money.

Plus, per Stephanie Kelton et al, the taxes are not "redistributional" as fed taxes do not pay for anything. There is a need for a huge national discussion on taxes and taxation. Very important.

Very well said Marianne! Imagine what we could do with that money. How much more can we save if we tax capital gains at 25% and tax carried interest as ordinary income. I was fine with the Clinton tax rate of 39.6% 4 a individual making $100K & a family making $250K?

Bernie's wealth tax was better & Warren is a 🐍 siding with hedge funds over the ppl in the GameStop saga. 👎

Beautifully stated. For that kind of money the percentages are nothing. You are completely right, for the everyday people that would make a big difference.
