Bernie Sanders became a meme, put the meme of himself on a sweatshirt, sold out, sold tshirts and stickers, raised $1.8 mil for charity, made GETTY IMAGES donate their cut, and another company donate 50 coats. That's the guy the political/media establishment said is out touch.

I was talking to my students about college debt (I owe six figures) and I explained that he was the only candidate who said he’d forgive everyone’s debt. “Then why didn’t he get the nomination?” WHY INDEED

Actually he wasn’t the only one, but I still agree with the point you’re making.

My question for you then, @marwilliamson, what were the major differences between your platform and @SenSanders?

I agreed on almost everything as I remember, but added to that I supported reparations for slavery, a Department of Peace in order to proactively wage peace, and a Department of children and youth in order to majorly front end our resources to the first few years of life.

Only Bernie was advocating for FULL STUDENT DEBT CANCELLATION, the others were wanting to make eligibility requirements.

Maybe because he is focused on "white economic anxiety" and many of his followers called black voters "low information"😑😑 The disrespect was/is real!

Let’s rephrase then, he’s the only one who said that he’d forgive everyone’s debt and also never shamed gay men with HIV by saying they weren’t being “positive” enough.

Touché! They’re familiar with Bernie because they’re big AOC fans (these are black and brown high school juniors and seniors).
