The longest filibuster in history belongs to South Carolina's Strom Thurmond, who spoke for more than 24 hours. He was trying to prevent the Civil Rights Act of 1957 from passing. The filibuster is a relic of Jim Crow. It’s undemocratic, and it needs to go.

Agreed. But I can't help but feel trepidation at Strom Thurmond's hand-picked eulogist. Our savior president, Joe Biden. I'm not saying Biden is anti-civil rights. I'm just saying politicians gonna politik, and we need to hold everyone's feet to the flames.
