Absolutely.
The longest filibuster in history belongs to South Carolina's Strom Thurmond, who spoke for more than 24 hours. He was trying to prevent the Civil Rights Act of 1957 from passing. The filibuster is a relic of Jim Crow. It’s undemocratic, and it needs to go.

Hey Krystal, have you mentioned yet that 2021 has many hundreds of state and local elections and that filing periods are here for potential candidates to run? Have you encouraged your audience to consider running? Make Berniecrat stocks go up!

Time to light up the senate switch board! (202) 224-3121 Tell them to end the #JimCrowFilibuster go with the constitutional majority rule and get to work filling Joe Biden’s campaign promises. Call your Senator and @Sen_JoeManchin @SenatorSinema
Agreed. But I can't help but feel trepidation at Strom Thurmond's hand-picked eulogist. Our savior president, Joe Biden. I'm not saying Biden is anti-civil rights. I'm just saying politicians gonna politik, and we need to hold everyone's feet to the flames.
Remember that time the ex-Klansman Robert Byrd tried to use that old Jim Crow relic the filibuster to stop George W. Bush from attacking Iraq? Good thing Biden, Hillary and Kerry stopped Byrd dead in his tracks then, right?! npr.org/2010/06/28/81190288/…
