If everyone were paid fairly, everyone would make more money. On a deep level economic injustice doesn’t stem from someone’s fear of losing $; it’s based on a fear of losing power. It’s a subconscious fear that if I let you have the power you’ll treat me as badly as I treated you

It’s more about keeping the power to treat others badly - paying people a little more isn’t going to really shift the power structure, but it will empower people to find alternatives and build competing institutions that over time could change things.

Who defines "fairly" What angelic governing body of humans will be the arbiter to decide who is being fairly compensated for the task at hand or not?
You have that right! That is exactly what's going on. After the dreadful injustices dished out to people of color, we won't admit or don't recognize that ones fear of retribution/loss of power is what drives people! We must stand bravely for justice no matter what! OVERCOME FEAR🙏
