This holds true in so many scenarios. I've seen people cross bridges that have elevated their careers, lives, wealth, etc only to watch them prevent others from being able to cross that bridge of privilege. Once an elite, always an elitist.

That's really interesting ... I think you're talking about a world based on "FEAR" ... I treated you badly ... so if I allow you to gain money, resourses and power ... My fear is ... that now you will start to treat me badly ... just like I treated you!

Greed is a mental illness: The more money a person has, the more he wants to defend it at any cost. Beyond a certain dollar level defending wealth becomes more important than anything else. Billionaires would literally rather destroy the planet than lose money.

You are correct. For some insecure people seeing themselves "above" others in their only security. It must be so hard to keep trying to present yourself other than what you really are: Insecure with low self-stem. The most brilliant people, are the most humble.
