Correct.
Imagine how much better our nation would be if the minimum wage were $23. If the minimum wage had grown at the rate of productivity since 1960, it would be $23. You know what’s extreme? That the minimum wage is only $7.25 and working people are getting screwed.

I can think of so many benefits of small businesses not being able to afford employees!

Who the hell can live on $7.25 an hr

Business would go bankrupt paying 23/hour. There would be fewer jobs. More poverty.

You have zero concept of how business works if you think that’s a good idea. Like you have to be a complete idiot to support that.

Or imagine all publicly traded companies had to give profit sharing to their employees same % from lowest to highest. I believe at Apple that =$403,000 each on top of salary a year.
@Costco, will you 🙏raise the minimum wage for all of your employees to $25/hour starting immediately? This would also put market pressure on other retailers on follow suit by raising their minimum wage to compete. Your employees will reward you with their dedication & hard work.

While in theory I agree, I'm worried about the impact on small businesses.
