Dems still cling to the idea of civil and diplomatic governance and are afraid of losing those vestiges. Republicans forsook all that long ago and, hence, have no fear of losing them. Cutting throats is the only governing style of use to corporate shills and traitors.

They have a narrower coalition with few goals other than power and limiting a woman’s right to choose. Democrats and the left have to reconcile with every demographic in existence to vote yes on a single issue.
