We’re not standing at a crossroads between fascism & democracy anymore thank God - least not for the moment. Now it’s between making an essentially unjust system survivable for the majority of people & the fundamental alteration of the system so the majority of people can thrive

Um, America is still not a democracy. We're an oligarchy transitioning to a fascist state. The entire reason that we're letting Americans die, be pressed into poverty, & live on the verge of homelessness is in order to protect corporate profit taking. We're still doing fascist

Marianne, you realize that a 'majority thriving' literally translates to 'profits not made' - right?

You never were at that crossroad. Stop being idiotic. Words have meaning. This unnecessarily exaggerated form of speech is why y'all are about to get royally screwed and it is gonna be fun to watch.

The fascism that IS coming, perhaps isn’t so obvious. Different style and more polished than what we’ve learned to recognize.

Actually we are smack dab in the middle of a corporate oligarchy - "Fascism". Democracy has not functioned in the USA for at least 30 years - no correlation between public opinion and public policy - very strong between elite demands and public policy. scholar.princeton.edu/sites/…
