You’re right, but with the current make up of SCOTUS it’s not reasonable to think we can overturn Citizens United anytime soon. HR1 being passed also as a Senate bill will help, and ultimately we need a constitutional amendment establishing public funding for federal campaigns.

We had a chance for this when Obama took office in the midst of the “Great Recession”. Obama and the Democratic Party leadership chose not to. Let’s see what happens this time around, with Biden.
