Under Bernie's Make Billionaire's Pay Act, Jeff Bezos would owe $52 billion more in taxes and would still be $35 billion richer than he was before the pandemic. And that bill would raise enough revenue to cover all out-of-pocket healthcare costs of the American people this year.

The only problem is it perpetuates the false belief that taxes pay for federal programs, and that the federal budget needs to be balanced. Yes, we should tax billionaires more. Yes, all Americans should have free healthcare. Federal spending is invented, it’s not taxpayer $s.

It is a good idea. But everyone needs 2 remember that no one's Fed tax dollars pay 4 anything. Tax them because they have too much $ & influence. Don't attach it 2 funding needed spending. That part only Congress can accomplish. Fed spending & Fec taxes R separate functions.
