I want to do this more than words can say. I'm educated enough, passionate enough, and committed enough. But I'm a solo mother raising my kiddo alone on the edge of poverty - I have NO idea where to get started, or find support to get started.

And it will not change until it is not a "career" & instead a service for a limited period of time. Serving the people is much different than being a career politician. Until such time that this changes they will continue protecting "career" and align themselves accordingly.
