This is important. We need Congress to be *proactive* in taking on environmental injustice. “We’re monitoring the proceedings” is code for “We’ll do everything we can to avoid taking action.”

IMO: Too many people rely on congress for too much. Congress won't act until they realize that MUST act, or they lose votes. Our job is to make sure they lose votes if they don't act. Bottom line: Just because Dems are in power doesn't mean it's the end of the struggle.
