It鈥檚 not too much to ask that we give one day to the cause of national reconciliation - a cease-fire of sorts - so we can regroup, purify our hearts of the toxicity of the last 4 years, forgive where we can, and realign ourselves with who we need to be to take on the work ahead.

Yep. I am feeling really sad because all my friends who are very economically comfortable are celebrating today. They aren鈥檛 thinking about lower class oppression, how capitalism is the number one cause of that and the destruction of our planet.

How does the fact that some of us are relieved that Trump is gone and that there is a new president with whom more things are now possible, mean that someone else knows what else we are or are not thinking about?

I have friends who say now that Trump is gone we can go back to normal. Like there is nothing to be fixed because Trump is gone. This is the most widespread thinking right now... but not necessarily on Twitter in these small circles.
