It’s not too much to ask that we give one day to the cause of national reconciliation - a cease-fire of sorts - so we can regroup, purify our hearts of the toxicity of the last 4 years, forgive where we can, and realign ourselves with who we need to be to take on the work ahead.

Yep. I am feeling really sad because all my friends who are very economically comfortable are celebrating today. They aren’t thinking about lower class oppression, how capitalism is the number one cause of that and the destruction of our planet.

Is this the first situation in your life when you’re feeling a lot of things at the same time? The fact that some of us are grateful and relieved today doesn’t mean that we’re dumb & uncaring, and only those who feel differently are the true social justice warriors.

I am not trying to be a true social justice warrior. I am expressing how I feel which has a lot of personal sentiment to it. We struggle financially and I do see a difference in how different people from different classes in my own personal life are viewing the inauguration.
