It’s not too much to ask that we give one day to the cause of national reconciliation - a cease-fire of sorts - so we can regroup, purify our hearts of the toxicity of the last 4 years, forgive where we can, and realign ourselves with who we need to be to take on the work ahead.

We can forgive people but still make sure they’re not in any position to harm themselves and others right?
