Actually, Biden harnessed the power of indifference. Essentially "I'm not going to give you what you want or need, but it's either me or him". And indifference won out through the peoples notions of damage control.

What struck me was the intimacy, the connection. We’ve been so starved of both emotional & physical intimacy during these times. We’ve distanced in so many ways. It was powerful to see a gentle touch on a shoulder,a leaned-in laugh,a loving glance at a friend or partner. 🥰
