This is why reparations are appropriate and necessary, not only to heal Blacks but to heal white America as well. We will not have the future we want until we're ready to clean up the past. There is a debt we owe here and it will be a gift to all our grandchildren when we pay it.

This first sentence is so cringed. "Heal Blacks"? It doesn't take ownership of the fact we (white people) created this system. We are the villains in the story! Arguments for reparations should NOT be told from this white savior narrative. Reparations are owed historically.
