1/There are now more troops in DC for the inauguration than there are troops in Afghanistan & Iraq and for the first time our “transition of power” is anything but peaceful. The only way the situation will change on any fundamental level is if we’re open to a political awakening.

2/ A politics that treats symptoms but not cause is inadequate to the times in which we live. A politics stuck in a worldly container but blind to the inner dimensions of life is inadequate to the times in which we live. The politics of the past will literally deny us the future.

I think more the variable is whether or not the political and corporate elites are open to a political awakening. Both have turned their backs on working America.

I am afraid, through Fox News and other far-right hatefilked media, that America will embrace neo-fascism.They talk about rights but little do they know by embracing these philosophies we will be stripped of so many.I feel powerless.

The question here needs to be "why are there still troops in countries the U.S. invaded when Bush was still in office?"

How bout be open to meaningful conversations with those who you don't agree with, friends, neighbors co workers. Don't continue to lump us together and continue to push the dust under the proverbial rug. Haven't you learned anything??
