Looking at the footage of the Jan. 6 riot, it's unbelievable that it took hours before DC's National Guard arrived. Trying to wrap my head around it.

I hope the investigation will show us how many attempts to get them there were made and who was it in the different offices of that administration that turn down the requests

trump's half-appointed secdef slow walked the response until the fbi swat & usss tac teams had already arrived and started clearing the building - it was entirely intentional - qrf forces at andrews were stood down - it was all planned

Trump refused to call in the national guard. Pence finally did it, after realizing that Trump wasn't going to, ever.

They were not given approval by one of trump’s seditious staffing jobs. Purposeful delays all of it n inside traitors.

Trump wanted it to happen. He didn't want them to have help. There were only 500 policemen working that day when they usually have 2-3,000 at the capitol. Pence called the national guard, Trump didn't.

And you might want to ask @AOC to help you with that head thing 🙏🏽

It suited the needs of the swamp. Why would they call it off?

Compared to the rapid swat responses to BLM and Antifa marches across the country all year, and considering the “value” of the “target” I would have expected more as well.
