You know how many counselors we have in our public schools? One for every 1500 children. You know how many chronically traumatized children we have in America? Tens of millions. You know how many billionaires we have in America? 635. And none of that is by accident.

Our values can be seen by the policies we support. Policies shape everyday lives.Emotional well being is not protected.We are taught to care only about money & the lack of it. Two extremes.Wellness is about the entire life.We need to value spirituality & wellness in our society.

It doesn’t cost any natural resources, or anything coming out of the ground or Earth to pay for more counselors. I don’t know why we don’t have more counselors in schools?

When I was a seriously depressed, and suicidal teen, I worked as a TA in the same office that also had the single school physiologist for 3k kids, I never acted out, so she never noticed, that I could've really used her help.
