.@JoeBiden said in his speech yesterday that no American working 40 hours a week should live in poverty. May it be so. The very fact that he said it is important, and it’s up to We the People to monitor the progress of the administration to make sure they make good on his word.

Knowing Joe, he'll pull further left and do what's right if that's what we want. He's more flexible and adaptable if he has the votes. I suspect he will pursue both progressive policies and moderate policies depending on the priority. This of course is just my observation.

But yes, I agree that our responsibility is as you say. I am not blind in my optimism.

That's BS. A person can work 40 hours/week and live in poverty at any income level. Poverty is also a function of a person's spending habits.

No one should live in poverty, period. And Biden's word is 💩.

The last great Republican president, Theodore Roosevelt, has a tweet for everything. #AlwaysATweet #Wages

Poverty is a mix of personal self worth , lack mentality and not seeing a way out. A job won’t change that no matter the pay. Where ever you go there you are. It has to be an emotional shift / growth for them to reach past that level.

This presidency will be a challenge to those ready to go back to brunch. In fact, this is the biggest gatekeeper of change, the need to go back to the comfortable petri dish that made a Trump possible.

My biggest fear and highest expectation is that the Biden administration will do as much or more nothing as Obama did in his 1st 2 years. Majorities in both house's but no progressive legislation. Repair, yes, but grow while you can.

Remove the "working 40 hours a week" part and we can agree
