So Republicans who brought us the Iraq war and a $2T Tax cut that will never pay for itself are starting to complain about deficit spending, now that the Democrats want to do one damn thing to actually help people. Laugh loudly, people! (And read @StephanieKelton)

So roll back the 2017 tax cut for billionaires. Put it in the same bill. Let Americans decide whether they want the money for Covid relief or whether they want Bezos and Musk to be even richer. Let Rs try to defend it, they'll lose.

Now, Republicans try to balance the family ledger. Yes, @StephanieKelton explains government spending brilliantly in the Deficit Myth.

We are currently talking about people's lives ... do we want to lean over and give a helping hand to a person ... or an intellectual idea ... with only 1% inflation ... fear of deficits is simply dumb!

I'm sorry I guess I missed the part where Dems want to help people. What exactly are they doing to help us? Last time I checked they lied a out wanting to give us $2k and now that they have the power, they won't do it.

Can we please stop this partisan bickering? This blame game is really not doing much good. There is plenty of anger and rage to go around on all sides. Sure. But there are larger forces at work, here, and just blaming each other blinds us to what they are. Please stop.

Both things would never have happened without Democrats' complicity. Corruption & hypocrisy is BIPARTISAN. This is not a sports match - it's the taxpayers vs the politicians who take corporate/ SuperPAC donations. ALL need to go.

A lot of politicians on both sides were pro Iraq war. I can think of one right now.

It's not just the Republicans. Apparently Larry Summers said in an interview that 2k direct stimulus checks would "overheat" the economy which is even more ludicrous than the deficit argument

A few Dems are complaining too.

Yes. That鈥檚 how the party of terrorists works.
