No $1,400 is not $2,000, and a one-time payment is not enough. Payments need to be monthly to make a real difference going forward.

I’d also argue for back payments of the last year or so. People need to catch up on paying bills and being provided a safety net, especially for folks who’ve lost their jobs due to the pandemic
