Americans need to get serious about the problems with our water quality. Most Americans have no idea how poor it is nor how neglectful our government is in handling the problem. Let what happened in Flint be a lesson for us all.

I disagree with part of your statement as the govt hasn't been neglectful about our water issues, they've been complicit! There is NO excuse for the chemicals they knowingly put into our water. Fluoride used in Nazi camps to keep prisoners docile and slightly more submissive.

And we need to be concerned that companies like Nestle are buying up small springs that our resources be consolidated and monopolized. This just happened locally to us. Also, didn't I read something about private investors and the (Colorado River) ? ??

My city in Oklahoma has some pretty concerning levels of arsenic and chromium-6. Luckily we have well water at my house so I don't have to constantly fill up a Brita pitcher, unlike most people who live in town. It's just accepted that you don't drink straight from the tap here.
