The Telecommunications Act of 1996 allowed a small group corporations to become the monopolistic owners of mainstream media. There are rules by which they abide & one of them is to never criticize the military industrial complex. Most presidential candidates don’t even go near it

Oh they’re allowed. They choose not to, in part because they know the media will nullify their voice if they do. But I think it’s better to be nullified and have the people figure out what happened, than to be seduced by the con and become a tool of the system.
