We need to reinstate the Fairness Doctrine & repeal the Telecommunications Act. There will be a new prez in a week and we shouldn’t just wait to see what he will do; we should think about what it is we want. The American people have gotten into the habit of asking for too little.

Fairness doctrine killed by Reagan when the public airwaves actually meant something, and before cable? You mean that fairness doctrine? I remember that.

Of all the terrible things that the Reagan Administration did to this country, the revocation of the Fairness Doctrine is the worst and most detrimental to this nation.

most of america doesn't have any idea what it wants...as evidenced by almost half the population recently voting against their own best interests...the most important thing that america needs is intelligence and compassion...along with food and shelter, of course

Reagan admin slowly deregulates FCC, eliminates Fairness Doctrine. The Clinton admin Telecommunications Act of 1996 July 2013 Obama repeals Anti-Propaganda Law (Smith-Mundt Act, est. 1948). Dec 2016 Obama signs into law Countering Disinformation & Propaganda Act (NDAA)

I agree with you that until we pay that debt, America will not heal no matter what else we do.
