The Telecommunications Act of 1996 allowed a small group corporations to become the monopolistic owners of mainstream media. There are rules by which they abide & one of them is to never criticize the military industrial complex. Most presidential candidates don’t even go near it

Bernie was going after it. That is why the media sabotaged him, and why he lost.

False in every way. Factually you could start a Facebook Group of users who post “Military Industrial Complex Control” 24/7 and unless you threaten someone, you won’t be bothered.

YES!!! Thank you for raising it! It's so forgotten that every time that I raise the Act, it's a huge civics and history lesson.

This Act needs to be abolished ... what happened to the idea of competition ... free enterprise ... giving the little guy ... the newcomer ... a ... break!

Can we get a link to the clause which states they can’t touch the MIC?

Eisenhower was the first, and I believe the last, to warn of the ever-menacing military-industrial-complex. #BernieSanders has, but no American president since Eisenhower has dared expose this revered third-rail of the American post-war era. youtube.com/SEGpTu8sVKI

That's because of the Million Man March. 1000's of black magazines, newspapers, and radio stations helped mobilize 2 million black men to DC at the call of @LouisFarrakhan . Congress and Bill Clinton decided it was too dangerous for black people to own their own media.
