The Telecommunications Act of 1996 allowed a small group corporations to become the monopolistic owners of mainstream media. There are rules by which they abide & one of them is to never criticize the military industrial complex. Most presidential candidates don’t even go near it

This is the hold that each party and the government has on the media. It’s not independent when one or two conglomerates own the majority of media. That is a propaganda machine. And it isn’t a victory because there’s a blue one and a red one!

I’m glad someone is talking about the Telecommunications Act of 1996. The monopolization of media is the reason why radio stations have sucked since the late 1990’s. They’re all mostly owned by a handful of media corporations. This has lead to the deterioration of popular music.
