The militarism that has become such a key factor in American foreign policy is a causal factor in the militaristic vibe & behavior of our domestic police. There will no fundamental correction of our police brutality issue if we refuse to address this link.

America, by choice, has no true military. It’s a mercenary force. Calling this system a “military” is disingenuous to the essence of what a military actually is.
