For America to repair itself it’s going to take more than looking at single issues. It’s going to take a willingness to look deeply into the mirror at all the ways, not just some of the ways, we function in direct and indirect contrast to the values on which we purport to stand.

There is a lot of work to do in order to reach the state that you are talking about. From the way the media targets stories to 1 side or the other. To the way Congress has no desire to pass anything that would actually help working class/poor people.
