The ultimate triumph of the military industrial complex is that we now have a generation of Americas who as often as not seem to see no problem whatsoever with the outsize influence of defense contractors on our military policy...and military budget.

It’s not just people in other countries affected by this corruption. First it’s money siphoned off from domestic spending, plus last year’s model of equipment - constantly & unnecessarily replaced - is then sent home to local police forces, thus the militarization of our police.

The media had to take the opposing position on everything Trump. Trump wanted to end the wars and bring the troops home. So the media had to convince their audience that war was good. Bombing Afghans led to girls going to school. Inciting the Syrian civil war protected Kurds. etc
