Defense contractors have such a hold on American military policy that an element of war profiteering is laced into the way we function. We need a movement for peace that is equivalent to the environmental movement. The Right is okay with what is & the Left has basically given up.

We have such a war economy that $.53 of every $ spent is defense related. But money spent on education & infrastructure is actually a more lucrative investment & defense jobs could be re-purposed for peace-related activities. We need to move from a war economy to a peace economy

Why do we have a $760B defense budget while some of our schools don’t even have school supplies & people lack healthcare? In part because we spend hundreds of billions of dollars every year above & beyond what the Pentagon even says it needs. This has nothing to do with security!

They'll block a politician who's anti-war. That's why Bernie keeps keeping screwed along with every human on the planet

Yes! One of my favorite Yang policies was the Legion of Builders and Destroyers. We don’t need to cut military spending, but rather treat it like the well-established federal jobs program that it is and refocus it. America’s crumbling infrastructure is legitimate security threat.

Yes let’s just hand ourselves to the CCP on a silver platter with apples stuffed into our mouths. I mean why not? Wanna make a bet how long it takes for the Dems to take us back to war? They love war the most!
